President’s Message

We hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter holiday!

We hosted a meeting at the Casablanca Inn in Grimsby on March 28, 2007. The presentation by Jim Franco and James McDonald of Total Rehabilitation Management Inc. educated us with respect to “The A to Z’s of IE’s.”  My employment responsibilities do not deal directly with the presentation, however I found it very informative and interesting. The presentation and open discussion will assist the writer with having a general understanding of the Accident benefits world. Thanks to Total Rehabilitation Management Inc. for their excellent presentation. I also wish to extend a thank you Chaussie Lawson of the Executive for arranging and preparing the meeting. Feedback we have received at the Executive level has been excellent.

Our next meeting will be hosted on April 25, 2007 at Lockness Links (formerly known as Hunter’s Pointe Golf Course in Welland where the speaker will be Amanda Jackson of Gowlings Law Firm, providing a presentation on “The Role & Rights of the Mortgagee in Grow Op Claims”. The topic is unique and will provide that audience a better understanding of the mortgagee’s perspective relative to claims of this nature. We hope to see you at the upcoming meeting.  Please RSVP Mike Johnstone at Mike.Johnstone@crawco.ca by Friday, April 20, 2007.  Please click here for additional information.

If you are not receiving our electronic newsletter and would like to, please contact a member of the Executive. We hope to see you at all of our upcoming meetings.
